Safe magnet information.... General Lee

Hi everyone. I am in need of some help please.... I have a 69 Charger - General Lee and am looking to have an American Flag magnet made to cover over the Confederate Flag. I like this idea vs. permanent removal & then painting of the American Flag at the moment. The repainting option is a lot of work and $ as well. The magnet should work well, I just don't trust vista print or staples to make a magnet that 1) is safe and 2) looks good.

Does anyone have experience / recommendations on a place to get a custom one made?

You have an General Lee, the stars and bars are part of its battle dress. If you’re that scared of the silly flag on the roof, sell the car to someone who will appreciate it in true form

I'm sure any sign shop can make one. They make magnetic signs all sorts of sizes.
Although at this point in time even the American flag is a point of argument. Soo maybe just get a big orange rectangle.

but if it was gonna be that big of a deal, I’d sell it, turn around, buy a 69 Orange plain Jane charger and problem solved. Plus you’d likely make money on the deal as people generally pay a premium for General Lee’s, as I’m sure you’re aware

For anyone here that thinks ahh just drive it.... Well, I bet you a dollar that that car is a trigger for a bunch of people. We have a whole generation coming around that have no Idea about the show. When the Confederate Flag has become a symbol of hate thats just what it is. There is no reasoning with narrow minded butt hurt people. I can see the OP concerns.

Trying to cover it up is like putting make up on a pig, underneath, it’s still the same. And if the area or situations is as bad as the OP says, people will see that 01, pull up said magnet and see the flag under it is still there. can Easily see that happening.

I see your point too However, I would love to see you drive your car in the hood at this point. Pretty sure it wouldn't be a happy parade for you with welcoming arms. At least the OP is trying to make changes all be it temporary. I would not risk someone demolishing my car over a flag.

I completely get the point. I don’t agree with the point. Not just about the flag, I honestly could give two shits less about the flag. What does bother me is the deliberate destruction and attack on our country’s non racist history and symbols from within under the guise of racist symbols. They’re even trying to get Arlington cemetery shut down and destroyed because it was once owned by Robert E Lee.

as for the OP, if he lives in that type neighborhood, odds are, his neighbors already know about the car and putting a magnetic flag to cover up the Confederate flag will do nothing. As I said above, he’ll then be accused of trying to hide his racism, regardless of whether in actuality he is or not.
