yep you're knee deep into your restore now.LOL

Hi, nice car, nice save! 107K miles, man, today we put that on our cars no problem and still drive 'em. Build yours better than the factory did, it will last at least another 40+ yrs, likely out living us all! Keep the pics coming!

Boy that brings back not so distant memories....... Best of luck to ya on your resto. Excited to watch this one come together.

Nice choice in color. The 68-70 Chargers look better in black than any other car on the planet!

Rebuilt it myself, I have a tic toc tach that I redid in it now. I attempted to calibrate it but it is not a presision piece of equipment by any strectch of the imagination. It won't even pick up untill 1000 RPM and then it is still a good 100 off untill around 4000. I might put the new board in that they make to improve it hopefully. I have another dash frame that I redid that I need to put on here and that clock also.

Nice looking car. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Here are some more pics. Few shots of the grille and the pedals before and after. I'll try to get some more before shots I know they are somewhere.

Good job bringing it back. Like most Chargers, I suspect your had some General Lee times...none of these were babied. Good luck and keep us posted.

Here are some before and after pics of the grille and the ear I had to fabricate on the driver side. Also is a picture of the oil pan after I pulled the engine, nice.

You can be sure of that. The guy I bought it from lived in a winding dirt road area. When I got it back home I washed and blew tons of dirt, sand and rocks out of the body and frame.

looks like the oil was never changed or collected a lot of moisture sitting and that patch you pulled off could almost be used as a science project to show the different layers of the earth's crust.

Just bead blasted my dash, looks nice and solid had some light pitting on top from no coasters under the beer cans of the past. Filled them in with a skim coat should be in paint tomarrow. Anyone have vin tag restoration tips, or know where I can get a stencil for the chrysler logo and name?

ecsautomotive.com has the vin rivets and logo transfer for the tag.
