Man, I could tell you some serious horror stories about deliveries! PODs are pretty much worthless! All they scan was that a driver says a package was delivered, and there is no proof, like a signature, to confirm if the package was actually delivered or delivered to the wrong place.
I had one package that I tracked through to delivery on the USPS website, and it was showing as Out For Delivery and then Delivered, only I had nothing. It took me two months to finally find out some mail handler had misread the address, and the package had been delivered to some address in another flipping town! So it was delivered, just not to me.
Back in July I ordered some phone parts from China, and their package went right out on time, made it's way all the way to the Jacksonville Depot, then left for the Orange Park post office, then was marked Out For Delivery, but no package showed up. The next day the package showed as being at the depot again, then sorting, then back to the post office, then sorting, then out for delivery and again, no package and the next tracker showed it was back at the depot. I kept checking with the post office, and they were always checking it, but now seven months later that parcel is still in transit somewhere. Fortunately I emailed the folks in China, explained the situation, and they immediately sent out another part free of charge to me and that one made it. Sad to think a bunch of Communists understand customer service better than the USPS.
