Yeah - I went thru the same feelings with my 68 GTX - My very first car and owned it for 48 years. But there came a time when I liked looking at it more than driving it. Car shows around here turned me off - attitude between makes are really horseshit. I‘m not sure that it would have bothered me selling it local - but it probably would have. What I did was send back to my home state/city where the car was extremely well known - and at the risk of sounding like a pompous idiot - it was somewhat legendary up there. Sold it to one of my best buddies who had coveted that car ever since I bought it in 1971. And I gave his very skinny wallet the mega deal of a lifetime. He’s now happy as a pig in **** and I‘m okay with that. Yeah I do miss it some but things weren’t going to change here and I just didn’t really enjoy it any more. He does - as does everyone else up there that I grew up with and also know the car really well. Everyone’s happy all the way around - And his son is waiting in the wings for when it’s time to pass it on. He’s all jacked up over it too.I'm on the fence about selling my 1971 Cuda. I barely drive it anymore. It would be nice if it went to someone who will use it more and appreciate, no matter where they're from. I'd prefer not to sell local because it would kill me seeing it cruising around especially if not in perfect shape.
