Looks great Paul. What did you stick on the steering sector to keep the fluid from coming out? Looks like clear tubing

X2 . . . But after reading through his build, it's sure not the same car he started with ! ! ! WOW ! ! !

Amazing work . . . is an understatement . . .

Thanks! Yup just clear tubing I had on hand. Got squirted before I did all the paint work so I didn't need to get power steering fluid all over my new paint.

congrats on the upcoming nuptials...

Thanks for the comments all. Took a break form the craziness of my day job and Christmas rush to work on repairing the holes from the hood pins a previous owner added. I think they marked where the pins are located on the hood by slamming the hood down on the pins since it was dented around the holes. Cut some patches off a semi-rotten hood I had from my parts car and grafted them in. We are shut down the last week of the year so I hope to get going on the fenders, doors, deck lid, and wrap up on my hood repairs. Also looking forward to the swap meet at the end of January north of Detroit with the WPC peoples. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all if I don’t post before then.

Nice work SGT. Good to see you getting some time with the Dodge! Thought of ya over the weekend. Picked up 6 Vise grips on sale over at Menards. Taking them off the rack I had to chuckle, while thinking I better snatch them up before SGT shows up. Keep up the good work!

Thanks and that's funny Prop. Sadly I was able to only use 4 welding clamps at one time while tacking in a patch to the underside of the hood skin at the hood pin holes. I know you expected more out of me but that was all I could fit in the opening of the inner skin and still be able to weld....

I even picked up (4) new vice grips down here in NC and was thinking - better get them before SGTPaul gets them too . . . ( smile ) . . . boy you get around ! !

Is winter over yet???

Hey gang! Well it has been a long cold and busy at work winter. So much so I haven’t worked on my charger since the end of last year. At the end of the year I finished off my hood repairs and started tinkering on my fenders. I soon realized a good chunk of each fender was covered with bondo to hide a bunch of "stuff". :sad10: So after searching for a while I found a pair down in OH and picked them up recently. Once came with a back window, upper dash pad, several sets of tail lights and lenses, and a box of misc. grill parts. Picked up some splash shields as well. Started getting the undercoating off last night and found a couple of soft spots on the passenger one, but I can cut and patch from the others for the areas I need. Now the weather has warmed up hope things slow down a bit at work and I can get a few things done.

Good to have you back SGT. And here I thought you got it all put together without telling us and were out chasing the pretty girls lol.

I'm late to the party but the car is looking fantastic and congrats on your engagement, very happy for you! I'm very close to that myself!

Thanks Matt. Close on car or engagement? I saw the dog over at B&B last week when I stopped in to see Randy about fixing my winter fender bender. Looks kind of dusty :sad10:

Engagement! Crazy winter for B&B with all the snow this season, they're way to busy to work on the "DOG".

Dang, I forgot all about your engagement announcement. Guess you wont be chasing any pretty girls around. Maybe I should have said taking your sweetheart out for a spin lol. My apologies to the bride to be.

Great to see you're back at it, at least something to do with your car. Was wondering if the weather in Detroit was way too bad to get out in the shop or was it that your financee was takin up most of your time?

I kind of thought so... Good for you!

Thanks. It was too cold in the garage and too busy at work. My heater can only do so much when it's hovering around 0 outside....
