One of the more annoying seals to pull are those pesky shaft seals whine the third member is in place . Use this gizmo to pop them out like a boss

I use a 1 1/4" open end wrench... hook the seal with the jaw of the wrench & pop it out... Quick & easy...

Shoot I don't remember, somewhere around $100 .. but it makes me money so having the right tool and getting the job done quickly is what matters

I use my Craftsman slide hammer kit all the time. Mostly just the pullers and attachments. It was about $100 a couple years ago. Paid for itself many times over. And not as many busted knuckles from improvising with the wrong tool.

Edit: I'm still going to steal that idea next time I need to pull a small seal I can't get a bite on
