Post some better pics. I have the 3 piece set up if u need/want. Kim
Chrysler called it Kick Down so that's why I do.Everyone calls it Kick Down linkage, me included. It's really Throttle Pressure Control linkage. It increases the hydraulic pressure inside trans. You want full pressure at WOT.
Way back when 1979 I burned up high gear clutches. Went to dealer and bought new clutches and steel plates. Went over and talked to the trans guy and to ask why they burned up. He explained what kick down linkage did said it controls the hydraulic pressure in trans. An I see the blind man said moment.Chrysler called it Kick Down so that's why I do.

seems like when I had the kickdown linkage spring hooked up next to the kd bracket that my throttle return spring would not return all they way leaving the car running higher rpm at idle.
Both can be tailored.
Many variations depending on which governor, TP setting and valve body. Stock up shift MPH and pressures are listed in the factory service manual. Modified stuff could be anywhere. What would be the original settings on a TF727?
Not to hyjack this thread but anyway while on the subject....
Because mine goes to 3rd very fast and basicly stays in 3rd until i come to a full standstill.
