Hi if i got a hood delivered to california from out of state would greyhound deliver it to the business address where my shipper is based or would someone have to pick it up from greyhound.
I live overseas

Someone would have to pick it up at the terminal.

And I've been hearing the Dog Bus has been messing up parts lately. There was a thread over at the H.A.M.B. about it not too long ago. Anyone here have any experience? I've had a couple of people ask me to ship using them but for one, the closest terminal is 25 miles away....

I've used the Hound to ship packages cross-country. I think the trick is to pack the parts securely. They are no different than any other courier or post office. Need strong packaging to withstand the abuse.

I'm a firm believer in good packaging but how do you pack a fender securely? About the only way I know is to make a crate for it.....and most don't have the resources to do that unless they take it to a company that does that and that ain't cheap.

I had a hood, (huge 1968 Chrysler Newport), shipped from Arizona via Grayhound. It was an ordeal that took a month and a lot of phone calls. They lost it twice.... ???? .... When it arrived at the terminal it was damaged at both rear corners where it had been dragged on the concrete, and had a dent in the front lip molding.

Cost was $75.00. Better packaging would have prevented the damage.... but I can't figure out how they lost it...... twice...!!!!

There is really no effective way to track items. I contacted Graylines headquarters and they were able to track it down and get it redirected to me.
