Outrageous Shipping Quote

I'm not sending my usual chocolates to a couple of friends for Christmas, anymore. First, it's kind of a one-way thing, and secondly... it cost me about 50-bucks to ship a 2-lb box of candy from Motown to LA last year. Uh-uh..no way.

Well, this story has a happy ending.
After dithering all winter, I finally decided to bite the bullet and order this bumper.
When it was ready to ship, VFN called and said they could ship it UPS for $120.
I got it today and it looks great.
I wonder if they lose much business because of the shipping quotes.

great news & outcome

I live close to them and I was going to volunteer to ship it to you but I see that they came to their senses!

One of my friends on the A side bought front and rear bumpers and a trunk and hood from Unlimited.
He got worried when he got no shipping notice, and their phone was disconnected.
Upshot of the story, his parts are supposed to be delivered tomorrow.
The point of this post was the shipping cost, which I thought was VERY reasonable. I can't find the exact $, he posted it, but it was somewhere around $350, for the four pieces, (I think in four separate packages), from southern california to Washington state.

I got quoted $1400 to ship a Subaru motor from Washington State to Philadelphia, PA. Um, no.
