smoke getting worse

ok i have a 318 i had rebuilt three years ago ive put maybe 70,000 miles on it well now its starting to puff smoke out the valve covers it started small but now it smokes like a freight train what does it mean can i run it threw a filter or something i dont know please message me for your ideas please and think you
 
Have you checked your PCV for proper operation? Assuming of course you are even using one.
 
I would think any autoparts store would have a PCV for a 318 in stock.
 
if he is putting out freight train smoke its hard to fathom pvc valve. its not oil leaking on the exhaust, maybe?

73Plymouth;our man Shaq may be on to something. Had that problem myself;another set of gaskets,some blue-goo and properly torqued nuts and I was good to go. However...is it possible that the blow-by pressure is enough to push some(lots?) vapor past the gaskets?
