38 here as I type....forecast is mid 40's (43-46 depending on how close you are to the Bay)which is 30 degrees below normal for this area

I will agree that it gets a bunch quieter around here in the winter....fewer cows out, the goats across the way stay in the barn, less people on the road, like two instead of 8....lol.

Yeah, the other six are all down here. I'm already tired of winter, traffic is terrible. Btw, supposed to be 87 here today.

They're calling for snow Thursday morning here, changing over to mixed rain, sleet. Probably no accumulation because the roads still have some heat in them. 34* for a high. It's November!

Yea kid,you will see some snow but I'm surrounded by water so it might only sleet here,but anything over 1.5 inches the blades hit the streets in the Villages.

Yesterday Oklahoma got a record .8 inches; that's twice that of last year's total of .4 inches. Started out at 20 degrees F this morning. May warm up to 36.

Guess I better get the snow blower back out of the shed pretty soon. Around here, we have 6 months of winter and six months of bad sledding. I keep waiting for global warming to give us that extra month of bad sledding but it hasn't happened yet. Oh well, The Charger gets enough rest between now and May.

I thought I knew what winter is until I watched this excellent PBS documentary on the blizzard of 49.

I remember the '66 blizzard on the east coast. Not like in the video but it sure shut things down for a week.
