Summer has peaked here. Last few mornings have been cold.

We are in glorious autumn days here now, but summer is rapidly ending. It gets dark earlier every day now, and the change is noticeable. It gets cool at night, and there is dew in the mornings. Hunting season here opens today but I don’t hunt much here, our aboriginal brothers take a dim view of white people out on the land. It opens in Alberta on the 17th. and I will hunt on our property there, then.
It was a pretty good summer, no disaster evacuations although it was tense as last years fire is still burning to the south and has closed the only highway in or out countless times and will continue to do so until snow flies in October. We have bad smoke possibly one day out of every four.
No frosts yet but they are coming. Time to start taking in the garden.

Only reason why it's cooler here is because of the rain we've been getting for the last several days. Glad it's raining though as things were getting pretty dry since it was early August since it last rained and the amount wasn't all that much. The days are getting shorter though. We usually sleep with the blinds open and noticed that it's not getting much light out until well after 6 now.

It`s been a very hot summer here in New Hampshire but my happy time is over. I`ve had my little space heater below my computer desk on a few mornings already as it`s dipped below 50 at night. Weather gets cold, cool cars get put away, heating bills appear and girls wear a lot of clothing that covers them up - winter just SUCKS!

52F right now. I was going to take the bike to work this morning, but I have to pick up a machine part today, so I had to take the truck. It would have been a little cold on the bike this morning, but it would have been a great ride home in the afternoon.

I braved many a cold morning riding in to work here in VERmont just so I could have the glorious ride home in the warm afternoon. Sometimes as cold as 40*F! lol.
