That’s why they make snowtires(with studs, lol) You do have sure-grip right! Lol.Because I was spraying lacquer and doing some sanding the Charger sat outside most of the day in 15 degree temps, low and behold it fired right up without a choke... imagine That! Just thought I'd post since I've seen countless advice on never running without one. I feathered the throttle for maybe 10 seconds at which point it sat and idled for 15 minutes before moving it. Moving it on the other hand didn't fair well, had to winch it back in lol, 11" tires on ice doesn't work well.View attachment 560929
Actually you shouldn't just fire them up and drive off cold (I don't) plus driving with a choke on is a recipe for carbon build up.Yeah but you can’t put in gear and just drive away without a bunch of throttle feathering. Sorry, a correctly setup choke is a godsend.
You beat me to it .What's a heat riser??
It's got a sure grip but it didn't help, summer performance tires don't offer much in packed snow. That’s why they make snowtires(with studs, lol) You do have sure-grip right! Lol.
Oh man, I was the king of reverse J's lol Big black and long ones Hmmm, that don't sound all that good, does it?I was wondering about drivetrain- didn’t see a pic of a reverse ‘ J ‘ from rear moving around! Love this back and forth!
Get rid of it then....it'll free up a few CFMthe choke was wired open on my car when I bought it in 2007, and it still is.
That was my thought also. What's a heat riser??
