Great music everyone! It brings back a lot of great memories. Nazareth reminds me of when we went to all of the Day on the Green concerts in '79 at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, CA. Not too long ago, I came across my concert T-shirts from the shows. Lots & lots of craziness (in a good way) at those shows. Still remember the lineups:
#1: Boston, Sammy Hagar, Eddie Money, Robert Fleischman
#2: Journey, The J. Geils Band, UFO, Thin Lizzy, Nazareth, The Rockets
Van Halen was supposed to play but canceled out last minute. Later we heard it was because they wanted to headline but the promoter (Bill Graham Productions) wanted the hometown band (Journey) to headline. Bummer.
#3: Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, St. Paradise
There was a 4th show but it was cancelled. We already had our season tix so it would have been:
#4: Foghat, Foreigner, The Cars, Gamma, Bram Tchaikovsky
