I have had problems with spark knocking with the bad gas we are getting in missouri. I put bigger primaries in and that solved the knock at crusing speed but it still does it when you get into the throttle. Do I need to open the secondaries up more?

Glad it's not just me. I've been getting crap gas here for the past year or two. I have the Audi tuned for 93 and get horrible knocking. I add a bottle of octane booster at every fill up. I have been getting some knock on the Charger too, but I haven't even gone through an entire tank of gas since putting it back on the road yet. Was going to retard the timing and add a little fuel to the mixture to help with it.

Have you tried addressing it with an additive?

You need octane boost!!!Or do what I did ,get rid of the high compression heads...I can run any pump gas now!!!No additive needed.

I have gotten premium fuel but that just means more alcohol in my area. I just does not help.

I have tried a e85 and regular mix that a racer told me he had been using to gain octaine but that did not help any either,

What id the best octane booster?

I have good luck with turbo108 octane booster. I have 12.5 compression in a 500 incher and no knock using 93 fuel with the booster.

Most of the booster crap available is snake oil:edgy:Try mixing some race gas with the pump gas to bring the octane up:yes:

I would add race fuel if they sold it in my area. I would have to travel about 60 miles to get close enough to a race track.

I'm about halfway into my second tank on the car. First tank was straight 91 and I got some pretty heavy knock. Second tank is 93 w/one bottle 104+ octane boost, and knock is greatly reduced. With three cars that require 91 or better, I'm going to have to start buying this stuff in 55 gallon drums.
