Anyone running a speaker in the factory location or where are you running your speakers?

Having my factory radio converted to Bluetooth.. so need to add a speaker or speakers.

Go to Crutchfields site and call those guys. Give em your speaker size and they’ll set you right up. Usually good people to deal with.

If you have, or you can find someone with the proper electronics chops, you could have them do an inexpensive conversion as I was able to do. I modified to my 66 Charger's am / fm radio adding the Bluetooth-USB module, (link below) I simply interrupted the audio signal source to the the hi side of the volume control with shielded cable, adding this cheap module mounted under the edge of the dash. When doing the install, you equally feed of the radios MONO signal, that fed the high side of the volume control, to the stereo aux L&R, line inputs of the module. On the modules output, you use a couple of resistors to combine, or sum the L&R signals from this devices STEREO output, before feeding that summed MONO signal back the high side of the volume control. This uses all the current radios internal electronics. You will need to add a fused + 12V ( ignition ) and ground to the bluetooth external module module.. works perfectly and under $ 10.00.
Also gives you capability to play files off a memory stick or other USB device, has an 1/8" stereo input jack for a I-Pod. Even contains a FM tuner so you can add FM to your AM radio in the process.

Thank you. I'm in the uk so using crutchfields wont be viable but will speak to them and then look locally.

I'm having a Bluetooth module fitted inside the radio housing that i can connect my phone to and play music/radio and also keeping functionality of the radio volume knob.

Years ago I bought a pair of kick panels that were molded with small speaker mounting area. Almost looks factory. I just don't remember where I got them. Do a google search.

I’ve had good luck with a “conversion plate” that puts two small speaker in the center dash hole

2 x JBL 6x9s in the package tray
2 x 4” kickers in the dash location with a modified bracket

A 400w pyramid equalizer / booster under the seat. And a Sears Roebuck fm / 8 track radio under the dash. Works perfect!

In addition to my rambling about the mod I did to my radio... Similar functions are available on E bay or Amazon via a unit that simply plugs into the cars lighter socket and transmits a signal to the cars radio provided you have an FM radio..
