Hello from California. This is my first rebuild, I am no expert. My cousin had a 69 RR convertible when I was young and I always wanted one. It's not numbers matching, but is a true titled RM with the original California black license plates. It started life as a 1969 383 4-speed. I was going to build the 383 but found a Rettig Bros. fresh, 0 hour rebuilt 440 6bbl that had been shuffled around a bit and never installed. Roller cam motor with Solid roller lifters roller cam, Crane 1:5 roller rockers setup. Unfortunately, I don't even know what cam it has! I still have some work to do but it's getting closer and closer. Hurst pistol grip, fresh 4-speed already in with the engine.

I'm lucky to have some pretty knowledgeable buddies, but only one is a Mopar guy. My wife has been really cool throughout this experience as well. I feel pretty lucky about that, especially through the lulls. As my buddy says, "This thing's gonna party!"

Thanks! The engine story was something like it was built by Rettig Bros. for a Oakland police officer that just retired, something happened and it sold as part of an estate sale, then sold to a guy that was going to use it in a dodge, never did, then I came along. I love the history of Rettig Bros., and I can't wait to hear it run. I'm in the foothills above Modesto.
