Started a new build on my 65 light blue Dodge Coronet

one heli-coil done for the torque converter done.
need a new drill bit with stepped shank for 3/8 angle drill. cant fit Milwaukee drill in the starter location. too long.
also have to pop out old dowel pins from my bellhousing. They are in freaking tight.

both dowel pins are out, and new heli-coil is in for the lower starter bolt hole. I'm not the one who stripped them out in the 1st place.
Just waiting on the KB threaded in dowel and the new hemi can go in. :pink banana:

KB dowel pin just came in and installed. Just installed the tunnelram linkage and return spring and bracket and new throttle rod from bellcrank to gas pedal.
All ready to drop in. Maybe it will stop raining and I can get it in the car tomorrow.
I'd like to put the carbs on now but going to wait till I drop the Hemi into the engine bay.
Trying not to put the cart before the horse. Bobtile did I just say that?

Ordered up the new TREND pushrods with restrictors. Steve and Mike are awesome to deal with. Should be here by next week some time and then the 588 is getting a tunnel ram intake and going on the dyno to see if the oil problem goes away.

yes the guys at Trend are great to deal with, they did my pushrods with .020 holes. I sure hope it fixes your oiling problem.

,020 holes, any issues with that small of a restrictor hole. I wanted .030 but they talked me into .040

I feel left out....I have a pretty nice crate that my my motor came in.....my crate is smaller than SuperStockRacer's because my motor is only a 505" NOT a 588".

no mine is a 604 hemi. that came in that box, but don't feel left out. Bobtile always makes you feel that way.

i have the stock oiling to the rockers & push rod oiling & trend edm solid flat tappet tool steel lifters, i just wanted a little extra oil for the adjuster balls. I did this instead of grooving the #4 cam journal.

Dropping the Hemi in tomorrow after work tomorrow. Then start chipping away at the small parts and stuff.
Shouldn't take too long.

The new hemi is in the engine bay. Bellhousing bolts are in. That's it for today.
