Television Shows

Lately I just can't get past this thought: It sure seems like years back TV was good.:)

I think the writing is much more imaginative nowadays; I try to watch reruns of old TV shows and rarely can sit through a whole episode. DVR's take care of the commercials.

Do yourself a favor, find and watch the show Justified. It ain't Little House on the Prairie, but it is a damn good show. My favorite of all time.

Lately we have been watching a lot of British police shows on Acorn and BritBox. Some are kind of quirky. It looks like everyone yells at each other over there! Midsummer Murders, Vera, Doc Martin, Shetland, Bancroft, My Life is Murder.

I'm now going back to watching M.A.S.H, and Frasier, after a few years of letting it rest.

The old TV shows was hands down better written, directed and produced; it's not even close.

The OP brings up another point we should consider. That is preserving TV history in a world that's rapidly developing new technology making old archive formats obsolete and pressure to rewrite history or delete it altogether. We don't have to say anything more.

So, get your favorite shows on DVD or in digital format and remember to do regular backups.

One of my favorite shows was The Twilight Zone.

I flip for hours sometimes looking for something new of interest with t.v. shows or movies, or that I have not seen already. Always seems like I go back to re-runs of the good ole stand by's. Everybody Loves Raymond, Two And A Half Men, Home Improvement, Last Man Standing, That 70's Show.

Most of the new stuff worth watching is behind some kind of pay wall per episode or you get it with a subscription.

Not a big tv watcher other than the news, watch a few channels to see what the other side says also, I find it interesting.
As far as shows goes I do like lots of the old cowboy type, and allot of the more modern sitcoms, if they dont keep me interested or amused, off they go.
I guess I have other stuff to do, but for a few hours in the evening I do turn on the tube.

****, I spent enough on that giant screen tv I guess I better watch it once and a while.

My elderly dad has the TV on in the back ground
from 9-ish am to 10-10:30pm
sits on his *** & watches old westerns, getting sick of old westerns
same ****/reruns seen 20 times each, day after day after day
I never thought I'd say that, I'm sick of old westerns

Yellowstone was my favorite, thanks to that douche Kostner
it's not been aired for a while not new anyway
1924 & 1883 (or is it 1886 ?) prequels to Yellowstone, were pretty good
supposed to be a couple good ones coming out sooner or later
without (Cheney lover) Kostner :poke:
1944 supposed to be Kurt Russel & 6666 (4 sixes) another couple of
Yellowstone Dutton family ranch, Mathew Mcconaha (spell ?)
he is supposed to allegedly be the next new Dutton leader, (or star of the show)
a different character then Kostner's
a few spin off prequels

I hate any dead ****, zombies or vampire or blood/guts & gore fake nonsense
I'll change it as fast as I can

I don't watch a lot of TV now, but I still hear it thou

Usually later at night when dad's in bed
FETV, METV, AntennaTV, oldies you name it it's on them 3
Grit (old westerns), a crapload of oldies TV now

I used to love
Two & a 1/2 Men, but when Charlie Sheen was still on it
I can't stand Astin Kutcher other than when he was on, the 70's show
Cheers, Happy Days, Mash, Emergency, Adam 12, Soap, Benson
I Dream of Jeanie, Partridge Family, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Tales of Wells Fargo,
Have Gun will Travel, Wanted Dead or Alive (Steve McQueen), Cheyan

I watch a lot of old movies (X1 stuff) more than sitcoms or shows
or
On reg TV, mostly Motortrend TV, or Newsmax or Fox News now
Gutfeld is funny as hell

I have Xfinity X1, I got a lot of old shows to be able to watch
(I find older TV way way better than :gay: crap they force feed US all now)
or stuff only on (www) Tubi, Freeve, Awesome, old races NHRA SCTA IHRA AHRA
there's literally hundreds if not thousands of apps
albeit I hate anything NBC affiliates but I do watch some Paramount, Peacock shows
usually all DVR'd
Youtube on occasion, if not somewhere else 1st, stuff not on elsewhere
I'm not a big fan of them, all the censorship crap :blah:

Been watching old reruns of Engine Power or Detroit Muscle
the old Speed/Velocity network stuff
on the -www- X1 apps

I don't do any other social media, than here or occasionally
spend too much time on the 'puter'
one of Joey's other sites Trucks or RRs site
browse the -www- for parts or guns/stuff
