Temp Issues

I installed a shroud with an electric fan. It was 108 degrees F here yesterday, and this is as high as my gauge got. It was driven and then left to idle. Too high????

I wouldn't relay on a factory gauge to be accurate. Hook up a mechanical or check with an infrared temp gun instead.

The temp gun reads 200 at the water pump and 170 at the radiator. How are those numbers??
