Undercarriage is done... Interior is done... inside all of the doors, sail panel areas, quarters, etc... it's all done now, finally.
Nothing left now but the exterior paint work. Five colors if you count the two pinstripes, so lots of masking and re-masking to be done, stencils to apply, etc... It will likely be in the booth for the next week or so at least, but hey... I started down this road back in July of 2012, so what's another couple of weeks eh!
I'll still have a lot of work to do going forward, putting it back together, etc... but I'll most likely hold off on the reassembly until the warmer Spring weather arrives.

Can't wait to see it done, lookin forward to seeing the finished product. What color will it be, red I believe correct? May I ask where you are having it painted? I ask because we are thinking of having one of our cars redone soon

It's a small family run operation... Real nice folks to deal with.

Maybe they do
Oh Yes they do!
Big Rigs, School Buses, Motor Coaches, Tractors, Dump Trucks, Garbage Trucks, you name it! No job to big, or to small... They even painted a Horse in there once... made of fiberglass of course.

Before they restored the horse and painted it...

I stopped by the shop yesterday morning before the snow hit. I had to pick out a couple of colors for the horizontal pinstripes.
There were two cars in the booth yesterday.

Ha, ha: One cool car in the both and one "whatever".

... and one "whatever".

EXACTLY!... I had to look at the emblem on the back... it's a Cheby :fool:

Still plenty of room at the front and rear of both vehicles however... if you look close, you can see a parts painting rack at the rear of the Charger.

Stopped by the shop this morning...
A friend at work told me that he had stopped by the shop the other day and saw them working on it... They painted the insides of all the doors with Rust Bullet , followed by Lizard Skin... and they painted the interior side of the doors as well. They also painted out the door jams just to get that out of the way before the bigger jobs come into play.

It was snowing out on and off, but we rolled it out of the paint both anyway, just to put some light on it for a better picture. The body is still in primer at the moment awaiting the actual paint job.

Just a shot of the interior side of the doors, and the Rust Bullet-Lizard Skin treatment used on the actual interior sheet metal of the doors themselves.
Obviously the colors are effected by light, so with all of the long sweeping body lines on these cars, it should look pretty sharp when it's all done.
The boys at the shop are very excited... They're use to painting the usual stuff. One solid color and maybe an accent stripe. Here they're looking at 5 different colors being applied to those long side panels alone. That's counting the two long horizontal pin stripes of course.

Looking really good. Couldn’t pull the pictures up elsewhere.

That gold is a sharp color, friend has a gold with gold interior 66 Satellite.

Some pics from todays visit...
All of the No-see-em areas are done now. Time to bolt it all on the chassis and start on the exterior paint.
Hinges and stuff are all painted as well, I just didn't get a pic.
