Thank you T2R9! I want to say I love the Great State of South Carolina!!! My other rock (Jesus is # 1) and the heart and soul of our family is from there, her name is Carolyn and she is my wonderful wife!!!!My shop is 28 x 40 and a single 36k BTU Mitsubishi mini split heats and cools it fine in South Carolina. I also used scissor trusses in one bay to accommodate a lift.
Thanks Coronet, Arch! This area of the property is really level and there isn't any standing or flow of rainwater to contend with. There is also a slight incline you might have noticed leading up to the actual build site of the shop that should work out in my favor if we were to have some abnormally heavy rainfall.Just a question. Based on the picture shown of the driveway being above the surrounding ground, how will water flow from one side of the driveway to the other? If the grade on both sides is downhill parallel to the drive it will not be a problem. Be careful about creating dams to trap water.
If I were lookin to heat a shop I'd look into a waste oil furnace.. I could easily get 250+ gallons every year for free...
Mechanic friend has one in his shop.. Works great... There are annual maintenance procedures with them, so be prepared for these....If I were lookin to heat a shop I'd look into a waste oil furnace.. I could easily get 250+ gallons every year for free...
