FINALLY...My Satty is back on the road!!
New 400 block w/ my 383 internals-check!
Had 2 holes drilled in throttle plate, carb adjusted, spacer installed,
new radiator, electric cooling fan, water pump, runs 210-215 at stop/traffic..
timing good (15 initial 38 total)..
smile on my face...yup!
gonna give her a bath and drive the **** outta her!!!

Congrats on getting her back on the road, drive the piss out of her, my 68 RR is also affectionately named B_I_T_C_H, because I seem to always be under her, it was actually a name my former girlfriend Honey, would always call her/it a Bitch of a car. I think she was jealous of her/it, because of the time & attention I gave her/it insted...LOL....

nice...congrats....what was causing the over heating issue anyway?
the carb was too close to the intake (spacer put in)..retarded timing was causing heat, (drilled 2 holes in throttle plate(fixed vacuum advance, got timing right (15 initial 38 total), also the radiator had several ports clogged internally (looked at thru a camera wire)..new radiator, added an external cooling fan from a lincoln mk8 2600cfms and a shroud.

Congrats to you! You deserve this day after all you had to deal with! Have a great time!!

forgot the other issue...the aftermarket mechanical temp guage wire was laying on the intake manifold, and was reading inaccurate also.

here is the modified lincoln mkviii electric fan, wired in and fused..it goes on at 190
