Yup.... While working on a 54 300 the owner offered me his 190 in trade for labor.... I passed... Stupid mistake as a couple years later they absolutely took off....Pretty sure that's a 230 or 250 sl
190sl was closer looks and time-period wise to the 300sl, but not even 1/3 of a 300, imo.

Saw a fifties era 600, at the drags near San Diego many years back, with a 2150 vw in the back. It was a rocket ship.
