Be prepared to be overwhelmed........
Comfortable shoes, light clothes, sunscreen, and lots of money.
If you see what you're looking for, don't hesitate as it probably won't be there 2nd time around. Thursday is turning to be the find your parts day, friday and Saturday more show cars turn up - getting close to 3000.!!! There are a couple radio specialists listed in the program you get when you enter, use it, it's invaluable if looking for something specific.
Check out the FBBO tent also, stop by n get a water n maybe lunch, respond to @hsorman to sign up.
I'm trying to arrange a FBBO member parking spot next to our club tent where any FBBO member can park for an hour or so to highlight their car. We'll see if it works out. Last year when Hemi-itis parked there it drew a huge crowd.
See ya there!

Welcome to FBBO!

Hmm. What to expect for Carlisle? You will be blown away by the size and scope of the show. You'll see every type and condition of car there, from beaters to the best restorations on the planet (along, of course with neat survivors too). From a parts perspective, you will find almost anything you need. However, 71 GTX radios won't be grouped together, so you must know what you are looking for and be ready to buy when you find it. If you find a decent radio, my suggestion is make your best deal on it and buy it. I can't tell you how many times I have earmarked a part, come back later and then it's gone.

Wear comfortable shoes, be ready for the weather, be it hot or rainy, and have fun!!!

A final reminder of the activities available at the FBBO tent for 2021:

Friday:
9 AM: Informal get together to discuss cars, plans and perhaps help members out with any search needs. I will be at the tent at least 8:45 - 9:30.

12 PM: Lunch. I will be there at least noon - 1PM. On Friday, I will have my grill there for members that want to use the grill to cook their own food. Bring your own food but let's meet for lunch!

6PM: Dinner. I will again have the grill available for people to cook their own food and hang out for dinner. Bring your own food and drink, but a grill and some condiments should be available.

Saturday:
9 AM: Informal get together
to discuss cars, plans and perhaps help members out with any search needs. I will be at the tent at least 8:45 - 9:30.

12 PM: FBBO Lunch. Lunch is on me, but please make your reservations before Monday, July 5th! (send me a PM or respond to the thread.) Lunch will be Burgers and hot dogs. Let me know how many of each. I will be there at least noon - 1PM. I will also offer any extra's to "walk-ins", but please understand I will have limited food.
Even if you don't want lunch, stop in and say "Hi" to what we expect to be a decent crowd of FBBO members!

6PM: Dinner. I will again have the grill available for people to cook their own food and hang out for dinner. Bring you own food and drink, but a grill and some condiments should be available.

Hope to see you at Carlisle!!!

Been vending at Carlisle Chrysler show for 18 years now. Best show and will be super packed this year. No holds bar of anything Ma Mopar made and it will be there with thousands and thousands of used and new parts for sale. Spectators are around 70,000 people. Rows and rows in order of cars in the show field. Just checked the weather as I am a local here. Will be hot and humid as usual. High 80's and low 90's but it is very humid here. Bring lots and lots of cash, your own food and drink if you can unless u want to pay for sky high food prices once your inside the fairgrounds unless you step outside the back gate opposite side of gate 1 as local people live in houses sell burgers and dogs and soda but I was at the ford show this year month ago and that show was Packed with parts and cars but food prices outside gate were even getting pricey. $4.00 for a burger. $2.00 for hot dog and $2.00 for can of soda. These are just the locals that live right beside gate selling food. Guess its better than inside the gate though. U can bring a back pack to put your stuff in or bags or cart. A lot of people strap a garbage can to a cart or dolly or whatever you can and walk and buy parts and put in that way. U can bring your car or truck inside to pick up your parts if large. They give u some time like to do this no charge. You need hotel to stay in. Mechanicsburg, Cumberland Valley, Dillsburg, Carlisle Pike, these are towns away from Carlisle where in Carlisle they jack up the prices on motels for car shows. Best towns to get hotel. A lot of new hotels also so no flea bag hotels. There are some also in smaller towns like Mt. Holley springs. Boiling springs etc... All these towns are less than 10 miles from the fairgrounds. I don't recommend Harrisburg or farther out. Bring lots of time money and more time and no annoying people that dislike heat, looking at cars and parts, and people as they will ruin your weekend buy whining and bothering you that they want to go home. Whiners will destroy your weekend there at Carlisle. Leave them at home. Get there early like Thursday ( show actually starts Friday and is pretty much over and done and lots of venders leave Sat night now. used to be a lot stayed to Sunday afternoon but last 10 years I see this trend going this way. Show over Sat night but there still will be vendors selling Sunday just not as much. Show is really strong and on Friday and Sat and even on Thurs) Bring good walking shoes or sneakers and a towel for the humid and lots of water to drink like freeze it so it that its cold during day in bottles. Best show you will see in organization of cars and parts. Everything is organized very well. Parts in one area and cars in other area. They have free Hellcat rides and auto cross track they run the hell cats at. Also drag racing at South Mountain Dragstrip Friday early day and goes into early evening till 9 pm or so. Its about 10 miles from the Fairgrounds. Its a 1/8 mile track and is awesome and looks like they have a cruise in this year (not sure what that is gonna be or whatever at the track) They have a bus (school bus yellow I believe yet that shuttles you there for free, at least they used to every year but I suggest driving yourself if u can so u can do as u please) I am posting schedule of South Mountain Dragstrip. You will have a awesome time there.

Wizard.

Hello from road robert driving from Massachusetts! I will be making the 389 mile road trip (avoid highways) for the first time this year with my buddy (Johnny Lightning) riding shotgun, '71 road runner all stock no A/C, manual steering, 383 4spd w/ 3:91s and F-70 14 Good Year Polyglas wide treads!
Can my friend and I swing by the tent on Sat for 2 burgers and 2 dogs? (He's a '71 Chevelle SS 454 4 spd guy but loves Mopars too!)
1. I do not see a 2021 schedule on the Dragway website, please let us know what you find out... I saw on this thread that some guys head out the the dirt oval track nearby to see stock car racing Sat night, sounds fun.
2. I want to do the autocross, will they let you drive the course with just a lap seat belt? I am trying to find a Snell rated helmet but not easy last minute...
