Been out of town for a while , Actually in Africa for a few weeks. Time to get busy again , its gettin warm here on the east coast. Dissasembled upholstery from all the seats . Went outside and blasted all the rust off the frames, repainted gloss black. Took all the frames and new Legendary covers and padding and such to a professional upholstery guy nearby. I thought about trying it myself, but I want it to be perfect when done and I made sure he understood that. Will be assembling the A pillars and door window runs , hardware and windows this week. Had all the wing window vent stuff rechromed. Ouch!! Hope its all worth it when its done . Will post pics of more progress later.
Wow!Some of the work I've seen you guys do on this site is incredible to say the least. Then you throw in cigars, pints and Roadrunners...need I say more?Super job on the RR and that color is a real eye-catcher.Great work sir...
Making some progress on the Chicken. Got the wingvents reassembled and installed in doors along with the door glass and whiskers. Adjusted doors and window and quarter glass. Installed the carpet, and throttle pedal. In one pic are the unrestored seat belts. The next one is the rear belts, I restored myself at home. Got the seats back from the upholsterer. The wheels in one pic are the 5 wheels original to the car. I already polished and repainted the detail on the original dog dish caps. Next day or so I will install doorpanels , and get front belts and seats in car. Then it is on to the motor and trans. I will post more pics as progress allows. Hey, dont worry about those wrinkles in the seat back. Those will come right out with some heat.
