Zero for me, if my parents that I lived with owning a dictionary and encyclopedia counts...and I'm only 56. Am I old already?
Way back in the Windows 3.1 days when I chose my first computer as a graduation gift, having the option of a Mac or Windows, I went with Windows because of "all the games you could play". There were very few games for Macs. Anyway, who remembers having to edit their autoexec.bat and config.ini files to get as much of that 640 KB of RAM as possible available for games? Maybe adding in some lines for your Soundblaster soundcard to function properly?Remember having to type c: to open a file?
OMG I haven't heard Soundblaster in decades!!Maybe adding in some lines for your Soundblaster soundcard to function properly?
I remember the 640 KB ram...I had an Atari ST and upgraded the 512 KB to 2.5 mb, for $70. The PC guys were amazed at how much memory I had. And that I had a wireless mouse in 1991 as well. I used to spend hours every night on the local bulletin boards back then.Way back in the Windows 3.1 days when I chose my first computer as a graduation gift, having the option of a Mac or Windows, I went with Windows because of "all the games you could play".
