This poor GTX was parked in a back yard in Lackawanna NY in 1976 with a minor mechanical issue....just recently removed, the years have not been kind! A buddy got it out and kept the drivetrain...gave me the rest to salvage what's left.

As the owner says One day Im going to restore it. :BangHead:

I've been to many thousands of auctions, but never had a chance to buy public pool shelves and baskets. I'm jealous

Thanks for the info! Minor mechanical problem turned this gem into JUNK!

It does have the prerequisite 70’s CB antenna!

I'd grab a lot of parts from that puppy before its crushed, all the stainless, speedo cluster, k frame if its solid

Definitely lots of parts, bits & pieces there to be salvaged if you are not gonna attempt to bring it back from the dead.
I think you need to look at the pictures again.
There's no saving that carcass.

I never understood why people set these hoods on the points.... The sides of the hood are flat like your floor. Stop putting hoods on the pointed ends.

Unfortunately this hood is rotten underneath.... standing it on it's points is the least of it's problems!...I'll harvest the scoops and scrap it

Wow that things crusty! I hate to see it get scrapped though, harvest everything possible... it could be saved it someone is really determined but... what how far would you go. What a shame!

Sad to see. I ended up with a 64 triple black Polara 500 convertible 383 4speed that sadly met the same fate as this GTX. Once the top rotted of it was exposed to the elements and it rotted everything. Lots of great parts but sadly a great car was gone...The guy parked a 62 dart 4dr 6 cylinder in his garage which stayed clean as a whistle cause it ran and left this outside cause it lost oil pressure in '76 and was going to fix it one day. It still had the bicentennial inspection sticker on it.

Yea,I see lots of parts for people needing them to restore. But bringing that one back complete is waaay more than 99% of people would try to do .

That upstate NY salt will get ya. It creeps in everywhere. Then it soaks in the morning dew.

On a quiet night you can hear the cars rusting.
