very fun to drive plenty of room in front for a big person even, was surprising.

We love ours....love the little throwbacks to the original like the shape of the dash and center of the door panels..

I hope I never have to refer to mine as my -old- one.

By "old" I meant it is not a "new" model as in the thread title. I expect to enjoy my 2015 for many years.

Well I can say from experience I've driven a 6cly a small rt v8 a 6.1 srt and a hell cat
I'll start by saying skip the 6 .and the rt don't bother with the useless automatic ether! I was impressed by the 6.1 srt8 with a 6 speed. It was plenty fast and easily controlled! It moved enough to get you in trouble. The hell cat was a animal! But! I will say there's no thrill to drive like an older car ! The cars basically wont let you do anything stupid! If it were me I'd go after a scat pac car with a 6 speed I know it's more then the srt8 but the newer style car is in my opinion much nicer I wouldn't worry to much about getting a used car most are babied with little to no miles . And the computer will tell you how the car was driven(the computer ratted me out when I borrowed my friend s hell cat ) he took it in for service (it's a lease car) and they asked him how 180+ mph was ! He said I've never gone that fast ,they gave him the time and date . I got a call a bit later that day saying . You got balls of steal and we're did you get the car up to that fast! I had to bring him for a ride later he said he wanted to see what it was like!

We had our '71 Challenger at a car show when 2015 Challenger wanted to park next to it. They were both Sublime Green. The new one looked obese compared to a '71. Bigger in every dimension. As a daily driver I would get the new one. As a fun/scary car I would pick ours. It has a 408 Stroker, 4 speed and 3.91 gears. When you floor it it's like riding a horse that never been broke.

I seriously considered the Hellcat as an option when looking at Challengers. I opted for the 6.4 over the 5.7, and pretty much forgot about the Hellcat. There are some serious upgrades she going from 5.7 to 6.4. My T/A 392 is quite a bit faster than any vintage stock vehicle I’ve ever driven.
Having a new challenger is cool, it’s safer, and it’s fun to drive, but there is still a part of me that longs for a vintage Mopar.

We have an '09 R/T (6-speed) that just turned over 50k miles and not a single issue. Other than the airbag recall. Bought it new in June '09.

It is a terrific road car and until I put the backup camera in, the wife would not park it anywhere she couldn't drive straight out.
