I honestly don't think it's about the money for him.

My call at the end of the season was that he'd be back, and he won't go until he either doesn't make the playoffs or wins another SB.

Obviously, Tom Brady is feeling the inflation pinch which is why he came out of retirement.

I think the problem is the (theoretical) leaning-back under "acceleration". As I understand it, a field is built around a ship (and its occupants) when going to warp, so there should be no 'inertia' making the folks lean back?

And certainly no reason for the Red Shirt to lean the wrong way. If everything inside the ship lurched when punching the Warp Drive, the ship would have torn apart on the first trip.

...and if anyone was swinging the wrong way, surely it would have been Sulu.

The red shirt guys were the ones that got killed

Really ???

Yes.

I believe it's about being competitive and having a chance to win.

When he can't do the first, or doesn't have the second.....he'll go.

He also proved he wasn't tied to Bellicheck.

That means something to that kind of person.

I don’t think Brady was ever the top paid QB in the league. He was more interested in getting the team around him, and if that meant he didn’t get to put his name on the billboard of “highest paid player in the league”, then so be it. It’s not what drove him. Championships. That’s what motivates him.

At the opposite side of the spectrum you have Dan Marino, an incredibly gifted quarterback who owned every record worth having at his retirement. But he was way too worried about how thick his wallet was in comparison to everyone else. I can say he got his reward. But Miami never had enough $$$ left to buy a team around him, and he retired without a ring.

Meanwhile, Brady is the GOAT, with more rings than any other franchise has. Still not the highest paid player in the league.

...and then in retirement, Marino hoked goods and services for anyone who would write a check big enough.

Looks like TB might have some offensive line/QB protection issues to resolve.

That wasn't ideal last year and could be even more ugly moving forward.

I wish, wish, wish they could do a better job of exploiting the "embarrassment of riches" (to quote coach Bruce himself of all people) of offensive weapons they have.
