I recently proved the "roll to center line" effect applies to nearly everything including a coffee cup (with handle) that was dropped about 12 inches straight down from the driver's door cup holder at the bottom of the door near the speaker.

YEP, rolled right to the center line. Not sure how as it seems to have defied the laws of physics concerning having enough inertia to rioll that far while overcoming the resistance of the handle.

Also applies to 2 wheeled vehicles. Dropped a trim piece for our floor project that I was cutting on the screen porch.
I was 5 feet away from my scooter, but.....yep right to the dead center between the wheels.
