In some airports I visit like Paris mostly, these folks are walking about looking just like this. Who or what is under all that is a common thought from me.

I've seen women get in cold cars and once it is started up, push the heater controls ALL THE WAY to the hot setting despite the engine being cold, the coolant being cold, etc. It needs to be explained to them that the heater is not electric.

I've seen grown men and women crank up the home thermostat to max expecting it to heat up quicker.

Side note: some newer heating systems, like heat pumps, have auxiliary heat to heat quicker but this wasn't the case.
