Usually, we have a nice tree (I insist on it being a "real" one each year, the result no doubt of childhood
traumas associated with my mama's various forays with all kinds of fake ones in a box in the 60's).
Something like this:

She has a wonderful collection of old antique village porcelin figurines and such that she builds
a little town under the tree with typically.
BUT...

This year, she got kinda lazy on me - meaning she let her fingers do the walking on the ol' 'Zon
and ordered up one of those pre-decorated trees in a box, which arrived on the porch a week or so
back.
She did this without consulting me, of course - she knows how I roll with these sorts of things.
So what did we wind up with this year?

Picked up some world-famous Bacon & Egg toasted sandwiches this morning from the Pokeno Cafe whilst en-route to Hampton Downs to set up a Meat Smoking extravaganza for tomorrow. Took a pic of the Cafe Christmas Tree.
Of course, we had to try out some Rib-Eye to make sure the smoke was right. Oak wood is the go.....a friendly Pastor helped load the trailer a few weeks ago. Pastor Robert ....not Pastor Flapps.

Wow some festive cool trees

here my lil' tree for off years when the kids travel to their in-laws
the pup/Baron 65#'s of fury, 7 months old English Labrador,
he has been really good 'so far'
not knocking it over or messing with it

He backed up kind of squatted down & barked at it, when I 1st turned it on
it was sort of funny

lil' but festive,
sort of a waste getting/killing a big real tree, for just US 2 (no I'm not a tree hugger)
my sister Candy & here dog Kony 10 y/o Belgin Malinois, will be here Christmas Eve,
maybe (?) my Cousin Stan from upcountry too, he has a lil' white female lab too
we are all dog people

it's almost as old as I am, family heirloom of my dad's
it goes up the day after Thanksgiving, even when we get a real tree
