Cruised down to the local
Dairy Queen for an ice cream
cone. The wife next to me,
my hand on her knee.
An elderly lady in a electric
wheelchair came rolling out
the front door, phone in
hand. She snapped pics of
all four sides. She said her
father drove an old Dodge,
and she told me she learned
to drive in it.
She then asked if she could
sit behind the wheel.
No problem!
Her aide hefted her up on
the seat.
Running her hands on the
steering wheel, and touching
a few of the knobs on the
dash. Very evident, the
memories flooding in.
Almost brought me to tears.
She said she was from
Texas, and was here on
vacation to check out
the UFO scene.
Got a double shot of "made
my day" !
