After work it is a ice cold Corona or two.
Weekends after dinner and later I have pretty well switched to Buffalo trace as my bourbon. Cup of black coffee after.

Actually, by the level of the bottles, I'd say 2nd from left, black label.

All were good (as Starlight usually is) My favorite was the left one. Finished in VDN barrels (a French sweet wine) the black label is just their standard Bourbon and the two on the right were both different batches of Double Oaked. Those are the two we wanted to sample side by side. They had different notes but similar taste. I have 2 favorites from Starlight. One is a Peach Brandy finished and the other is a Cognac finish. Both over the top delicious.

I rarely ever drink now
if it's brown liquors, I prefer

or Jim Beam or Nobb Creek
with a 'Chocolate' Sam Adams Cream Stout
or Black & Brew
or a Boston lager chaser
or maybe a Kilt-lifter
I can't stand the reg beers now, coors bud miller, I drank as a youth
since I rarely drink I like a good drink or a good beer

mostly now it's Vodka, I like Grey Goose, or maybe Absolute,
& some sort of fruit juice or just on the rocks

I don't drink hardly or ever at home now,
I do like a nice drink every so often still,
but, my dad is an recovering Alky...
I don't allow booze in the house because of him...
I don't need to tempt him, that'd be cruel/torture,
so I just don't drink really...
Dad's Dr.s his Cardiologist orders no booze period...
He's been 'pretty good' for 5-ish years now,
he's drank booze, don't get me wrong, he's a bourbon guy,
like cheap rot-gut Early Times crap...
He used to save JD bottles & putt Early Times in them
& tries to hide that, he did...
He'll come back from SIRs monthly meetings, 1st Tuesday every month
he goes like every other month now, to keep his membership active...
We get a big discount on Propane Co-op thru them...
He's not very mobile, even straight, extremely under weight & smells like booze,
& hammered... not a great mix, & driving still
But nothing like the Qt. + a day like he used to, for the past 50+ years...
So I let it slide, he knows I know too, & that it pisses me off a lil'...

When I do drink, it's over at my neighbors Darren's place,
recently retired Ca.F&G warden...
He drinks Coors usually, so if mines not in the fridge
I will too, reluctantly...
Every so often we'll have a mixed drink, he also stores my booze/beer for me
& usually a 12 pack of Sam Adams beer too,
he has a bunch of family functions over his place 'a lot'
all his in-laws, bros & sisters, mom & dad, nieces nephews, every holiday
& the kids BDs etc.... So it gets drank...
It's no big deal, when he notices he replaces it or I'll just replace it too...
