My local track (Cordova) posted that today was the last day for the year. They originally were going to close on Nov. 10 but changed it. This sucks because I took Nov. 10 off to get the car to the track.

Whose track is still open?

Supposed to go to Maryland International next Saturday for their nostalgia show and race. We still have a couple weeks to go before it shuts down around here. Weather permitting. Not sure, but i think Cecil county is the last to close. I need to look that up.

Cecil County usually stays open to the first weekend in December weather permitting. Made no matter to me as I never made it to the track this year. I hope to buy new radial slicks and make the track next year. I just could not afford it this year as cash has been tight. Ron

My local track (Rock Falls) closed a couple weeks ago Oct.20th. But I had a pretty good day, made it to the final in the consolation race, but I red lighted. But I got to make the last pass of the season!

Houston Raceway er Royal Purple Raceway posts the last street legal race on Dec 14th but nothing is on the schedule from then on. If we have a mild winter which has been happening for a few years now, they will re-open early in 2013 or have done that in the past.

I'm not trying to rub it in but, here in Northern Calif., Sears Point/Infinion & Sacramento Raceways both stay open all year round, they are just subject to weather conditions of course, at least for Sat. test & tune sessions @ Sacramento & usually the Wed. or Thur./Friday Bracket Race nights @ either track, we use to have a big January 1st race too @ Sacramento, I don't know if they still do it or not, they have changed management in the past few years, I don't think the owner Dave Smith, runs it any longer, he would always have the track open for any event or test & tune, also the Moto-X, Dirt Oval stuff too, if they are still doing that...

THAT REALLY SUCKS FOR YOU GUYS

In Woodburn,Oregon.
They closed the track at the end of October.

Checked the weather for this weekend. Going to be Hi 60's and sunny w/light breeze, in other words "PERFECT". I wonder if they are 2nd guessing their decision now?

Instead of closing, they could have just made it subject to weather conditions, they could have kept making money & you racers happy.... I never could understand that kind of thinking either...

Just a little cheap radio advert. & get some crowds back to the tracks on nice weekends, at least some test & tune sessions...

That is what caught me off guard because both November dates for the track are "Weather Permitting"

Year-round here in SoCal. The only problem is all we have is 1/8 mile. I'm going to try to go to Baraona this Saturday and see what my car can do in good weather (high 60s and sunny). My last time there it was over 100 degrees.
