How do I decode the transmission serial number after I found it?

Is the car vin or serial number on the transmission somewhere?

PK= Kokomo Indiana assembly plant.
3410668= A 727 from a 1970 B or E-body with a 383-4 engine.
3035= Build date November 18, 1969
2586= The 2586th built that day.

The partial VIN will be on a raised pad on the passenger side of the converter housing.

3035 date code is Nov 18 1969. Probs a bit too early for my car (0G204xxx), but I'd be interested in the VIN anyway - can't give up looking, ya know.
