Tremec TKX 5-Speed Conversion

Since the heads are made way west of here across the Pacific, I'll bet the freeze plugs are metric. 1.0236" = 26mm.
Greg doesn't look like a plumber, pants are pulled up and no butt crack.
I'll round up a 26mm for the future. But the thing is, I bought the plugs from 440 Source specifically for their Stealth heads.

I will say that their instructions are far better than a Vintage Air A/C system. Their instructions might as well be written in Japanese with illustrations done with Crayola crayons.
They're almost too good. Except for the initial removal part, which can be handled either by experience or the FSM, the instructions are long and detailed. One of the complaints I had is that the install instructions haven't been updated for the TKX, which has a few differences from the TKO, most notably the tunnel modifications.
SST includes handouts for the installation, hydraulic t/o bearing and m/c install, and tunnel mods. Even after reading all the documents, its easy to lose your place and overlook items. I highlighted passages and made notes in the margins and still got out of order in a couple of places. There's no shame in reading, re-reading, then re-reading again as the project moves forward.

agreed with the above.

i had print outs of the SST TKO installation instructions about six months before ordering. even had the Keisler instructions printouts for about three years before that.

watched the YouTube vids on bellhousing alignment multiple times from SST and others too

all made for a weekend 727-to-TKO conversion possible (kinda like on TV)

First time posting a video to YT and to FBBO. The idle wouldn't back down. I'm running a Lokar throttle cable, and had the Lokar kickdown cable with the auto. Without the kickdown, the throttle cable doesn't have enough resistance to pull it back to idle. Greg has a carton full of return springs that we're trying out.

awesome!!!!

be honest….how nervous were you seeing Kern Dog driving your car around?

Awesome - well done lads!

I'm sure there are a couple minor adjustments like throttle springs and such, but looks like you are basically done the hard part.
