If the pick up isn't down near the the bottom of the pan it can absolutley suck air.

Those are nice pans but heavy. If you want a really nice light deep pan that doesn't leak? Cheap? $26.95, these are great. I've bought a bunch of them. Heavy material with a drain plug.

The Mopar reusable gasket for the 46RH. Same gasket even with freshen ups and filter changes on the racecar, 13 years. Ti made an extension that I believe was 1 3/4" Ebay has billet spacers in 1" and 1 1/2" cheap.
