I'm sure @hanks73340 will agree with me on this as he works there at Home Depot but I saw this on another forum I'm on, only $1.00 Pennzoil High Mileage 10W/40 5 QT oil! At first when I saw it on the forum I thought are you kidding is this a joke, but sure enough I went there this morning and I brought one up to the cashier and they indeed were only $1.00. There were 5 on the shelf and needless to say I grabbed them all, the total came to about $5.32 give or take.

**Don't miss out on this, one 5 QT alone at Walmart cost $15.00-$20.00**

You are correct Eric. I grabbed a few when I was told they were pricing them. There are about 2 cases left in our store and going fast. We have a few classic car owners that work here and they took what they could.

and it's the conventional motor oil as advertised not the synthetic.

Good to know it is the conventional oil, it may not be good for the old 69s cars but at least it's good for the 90s and above cars with high miles. How long is the deal for Hank?

til they sell all of them

I suppose I could buy 3-5 cases to make the 60 mile round trip feasible to do that? Thanx for the heads up!

Price war with Napa? Napa Brand conventional and syn blend) has been very reasonable as of late. I go as I have the funds to pick up a 5 QT bottle at $12.99.

I have picked up the discounted Pennsy high mileage stuff before at the 'depot and the bottles had considerable "shelf wear" as in dust!~

Is there an underlying reason why motor oil is so cheap lately when everything else is out of control?

Good question...I was wondering about.

Off the subject a bit, but you know what I just saw they (The Depot) has, RV antifreeze at 88 cents a gallon. Thats a steal.... and I know some of you RVers and plumber types like to stock up on it when you can grab it cheap.

Doesn't show as $1 on their website for any of the regional stores I just checked...

Must be a regional thing. Just checked their web site, and our local store lists it for $4.98 a quart and nothing about it in there weekly sales ad.

I went to my local True Value store. They had Pennzoil 1qt on sale for $7.99.
Didn't see it flying off the shelf.:BangHead:

10W40 only for Pennzoil.

Be aware it might not be a true 5 qts. I was short in my LHS from last go around.check your level!

I didnt know Pennzoil was still in business. All I remeber is cleaning lots of smog era engines that were caked with soot from that stuff. At 1.00 thats still hard to beat lol.
