Pump, filter, or vapor lock would be
the first three I'd check. Sounds
like a fuel delivery problem.

While it's difficult to diagnose without personal inspection & troubleshooting, it seems it may be a fuel system problem. Bad gas, clogged sock, fuel pump problem, clogged fuel filter, carb issues.

No stumbling,,

i was guessing that,,thanks bro.

A simple thing like water/condensation in the fuel can cause drivability issues.

stalled again,,damn,it should be a clogged sock, because when I drove it in front of my house it was lick no power when accelerating a bit,,

Especially Calif gas swill/mix, it's horrid...
Especially in an older car need to keep the tank full
so it doesn't have a bunch of room to sweat/condensate
& oxidate/corrode or ruin every real rubber or un-anodized protected aluminum
part in the system...

Especially the summer mix/Calif swill blend, especially down in the bay area...
We don't get that mix up here...

Maybe, check
something like 'needle & seats' too, maybe throttle accel pump (O-rings ?),
or it's bypassing making the float too high, it'd be dribbling fuel in the carb while idling
you can see it easily "usually", these old carbs don't do well with the new swill/gas
with Ethanol/"corn liquored mash" or Methanol-alcohol :poke:
Usually lil' orange or white ****, deposits gets left behind in the fuel bowls,
fuels evaporates while it sits & if it sits, for any time (not like the EFI is a closed system)
it will oxidate & corrode stuff, it leaves a nasty residue behind,
glogg's all kinds of stuff, or just eats it...

Even Sta-bill (Or Lucas Fuel treatment) doesn't help much,
but will help it store longer & sort of lubricate stuff a bit too...

when i pumped the accelerator under the hood with the air cleaner off i looked in the barrels and gas would just dribble in the carb.it should squirt out like a shower pressure??

there is apost on here where the guy thought they changed the sending in his new tank, and to find out they didnt he would have the same issues like me,stalling at the same 2 blocks away,i will check sending unit .thanks

those orifices are probably partially clogged...

maybe time for a good carb cleaning, change filters too

Berrymans Chemtool works great
the fuel additives work some too, but a lot slower,
there is an aerosol to do exterior cleaning too, helps sometimes

still best to take it off & probably take the top off, clean it out, thoroughly
With an aerosol type cleaner, spray thru all the lil' passages,
get new gaskets & O-rings etc., take photos & pay attention what goes where

How long has it sat between driving it? I'm probably using the same gas as you, in Santa Rosa. I buy from Costco, and even sitting for a 9-10 months, this doesn't happen to me. Which type of carb? A Carter, you can pull the top off with it still on the manifold, and observe fuel level, garbage in the float bowl, dirt at the injector jet (at the bottom), and rule out a bunch of stuff.

If the bowls are low, then it may be fuel delivery, pump, tank, screen on pickup. But if the levels look good, maybe its the plunger or pump metering jet. The Carter has a check ball that may be clogged or frozen.

Thanks guys, cleaned carb and disassembled last month,Gonna check sock, new coil wires, plugs, ecu, cap rotor, fuel pump, and filter. Gonna check sock tank.it sat for 2 Mos.
