Warning Hedman headers don't

I've used Headman sense 62 and never had a problem with them.

Has anybody used "Doug's Headers" i see them used once in a while at car shows. Whatcha think?

My 2 cents; Bought a 69 RoadRunner from a party in Minnesota that used a local Performance Shop to Install a set of Hedman Elite Headers on a stock 383 w/4spd no pwr steer, no pwr brks. When I test drove the car I could smell some exhaust, I thought maybe a small leak.... no big deal. Well, how wrong I was...After pulling the engine and tranny to detail the engine compartment, I discovered the Hedman Headers were the culprit. Yep, there was actually a hole where the mini starter had worn a hole (even after the performance shop obviously had hammered down an area) because the headers did NOT fit properly! I have the receipt and installation charge from the Performance Shop but Hedman wasn't interested as the date was over 2 years.
I'm not that surprised that Hedman isn't interested after that much time. But I am dissapointed that a known Performance shop would let this happen on install.
Guess What, I'm looking for new Headers.....but the brand won't start with the letter Hedman! and the Performance shop won't start with the letter Cheney.
