I have to admit that I had no idea what Nendra was so I had to look it up. Damn, that seems like a fun class and our car would be right at home. Is there anything even close to this out west? I check out these guys site sometimes http://www.americannostalgiawest.com/events.html but most of their races are a tad too far south for us.

The NHRA Hot Rod Reunions &/or NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series, http://www.nhrahotrodheritage.com/ , at various tracks & Good-guys show/races are about the only other Nostalgia Racing I know of out here, Maybe the SCTA {Southern California Timing Association} if they are still in existence, they are Bonneville & El Marige now, but the org. use to travel all over went to Seattle & Firebird IIRC, many other places too... maybe Gary Meterz or whom ever is running it, still has some NDRA {it use to be Nostalgia Drag Racing Association, it's Now the National Drag Racing Assn., not sure about ant Nostagia racing anymore, they do allot of Pro-Doorslammer stuff now IIRC} races someplace... Also the ANRA www.anra.com/ but that's SoCal too... try also , http://www.maziracing.com/01Schedule/2001schedule.htm

Right, good info pack there Budnicks. Up in B.C. we have two huge nostalgia events in the Summer put on by the Langley Loafers at NHRA tracks in Mission and Ashcroft that are bomber events with good coverage, sponsors, free BBQs and beer but there's only two a year. We're looking to do some traveling at some point for destination nostalgia races. Moon Eyes Christmas party in Vegas and the Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso are high on my list but not this year. Venturing to parts of Oregon and Washington are no big deal for us but California definitely adds another days worth of travel each way.

I don't think you can have a NWNDRA. It just doesn't quite roll off the tongue.

We kind of have a CANDRA CA Nostalgia Racing Assn., just not named that... rolls off the tongue pretty darn well

Maybe a CANADANDRA!

Why not start a BC nostalgia drag group ???? In Ontario, we have the Ontario Nostalgia Drag Race association , or ONDR.........And it didn't take long to find 300+ members to join....Probably be just as popular in BC...

it just takes a little work to get it off the ground. its our 7th year and its the best time ever.

Man, if I lived even remotely close to one of the bigger tracks I would fire that **** up but logistically it could never happen. I really do envy you guys for having such a class. As you may or may not have noticed, a while back I posted about trying to crash a divisional event since that would be our closest thing to a nostalgia class around here but the lack of encouragement pretty much set me straight that it's a bad idea. Back to the drawing board I guess.

polara pat. thanks for the kind words. a big problem for us is to get everyone there at the same time.
unfortunately life gets in the way a lot of times but with new members joining constantly car count is going up. its called baby steps.

Even though it is only one race MATS in Vegas has a N/SS AFX class.
I've gone east and ran a few N/SS races over the years. It was the most fun Drag Racing I've ever had.
Look up "West Coast Hot Rod Assocation" Maybe some info there.

I have a friend who has that same issue with out nostalgia meets. He has gone through the trouble of starting a straight axle class and gotten tons of positive response for running gassers and altered wheelbase cars in their own class but when it comes to post time we're lucky if we make the 8 car minimum to even have a field. Pretty frustrating but like you say, life sometimes gets in the way.
