I went through this sort of thing in 2017. I was terrified of the surgery part. I knew that I could live with just one kidney but was scared of the surgery itself.

Hi Everyone,

I just figured I would let you all know that tomorrow is the big day! So that said I will NOT be on here tomorrow, or unfortunately maybe even the whole weekend. I have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning for 6:30AM EST and it will be a 4 hour surgery. The doctors say that the day of the surgery (meaning tomorrow) I will be up and walking around. They also say that I will likely be in the hospital until Monday for 4 days. I will update everyone as soon as I am feeling better, which will probably be on Monday when i am hopefully home.

Speaking from experience here, pay attention to that "4 day" part - I stubbornly got up and left after 2 days and it damn
near killed me, to the point the lead surgeon and my wife were going to have me forcibly returned to the hospital.
Don't do that!
