What are the best tail lights Looks

I like the "modern" kinda "space age" look of the 70 Roadrunner tail lights, but of course I'm biased:

A few years ago, there was a 58 edsel sedan delivery for sale in the local collector car sale paper. I was curious, but as i knew there never was such a thing, and it stayed in the paper for months, asking price steadily going down, i didn't pursue it. Later, after it sold, i saw it at the Pomona swapmeet. It was terrifically done. Whether it was a ford courier with a Complete sheet metal swap, or an edsel wagon conversion, i couldn't tell. It had a s/d rear door and an undetectable conversion of the windows if thats what was done. Big block, 4speed too. I made an attempt to make an offer, but never heard back, or ever seen it again.

Maybe not the "best" taillights but definitely rare and unique.
It kinda reminds me of the 70 coronet front end.:)

You know always wondered about the body lines of the car as it resembled the 61-63 T-Birds so maybe Ford took hold or Chrysler did and nobody will ever know.

I'm sure car designers moved around looking for work. The same is likely for those at the top that -approved- designs.

As owning one is not a prerequisite for disqualification, of course 1967 Coronet R/T, or 500! Hidden tail lights in that full length finish panel! Come on, you know you like it!

You're right. Elwood Engel designed the Chrysler Turbine. Chrysler had hired him away from Ford, where he had previously worked on the Lincoln and Thunderbird designs.

As Paul Harvey used to say "And now you know the rest of the story".

Would ya all say there are a LOT of beeyouteeful tail light designs to be found?

That black Cadillac....What a beautiful design. GM did build some great looking cars in the 60s.

Yep, and almost all of them 40 years or more ago.
I agree, and as you say almost all of them, the newer Charger tail lights are nice.
