There is nothing wrong with a new Holley carburetor, for a mild-440 I would go with a Holley 750 VS (4160), which will easily support 450 HP and provide excellent throttle response / drivability on the street. Run the second softest vacuum secondary spring as a start. Have a few spare accelerator pump nozzles (squirters) .032 - .035 for tuning along with a Holley Jet Kit.
Best piece of advice, it's 2021 - invest in a Wideband 02 gauge setup if you haven't already. It doesn't need to be permanently installed, but will be monumental in getting the carburetor dialed in on a street car.
