Sat down with mine and had a heart to 496 stroker talk about this 7mpg it keeps insisting on getting. Alas, it was like talking to wall though... God love it.

what I did to my B body

I sprayed WD40 on my exhaust bolts to remove them to replace the exhaust gasket because of the extremely loud exhaust leak. As I checked the bolts to see if they would come off easily, I discovered the 4 top bolts on the drivers side where the leak was, had been only finger tightened by the previous owner...no wonder I had a leak and excessive noise. I tightened the bolts and the problem was solved. What a great discovery, I stopped an annoying problem, an annoying noise and was free to fix!

I changed out my broken PS gear return line fitting, bolted in the battery tray, and removed the smog pump and tubes to the manifolds. Next up, paint bare spot on block behind starter, hang starter, fab block offs for removed manifold tubes, and install battery cables. Tomorrow, I'm buying another quart of Y1 to finish my steelies and some other stuff, and a quart of black for my $40 junkyard 40" top tool chest...

My Bee usually get out at least twice a week. last night I hit two cruises and went for a small ride to check out a house. Tonight is a big cruise night. i will hit the cruise for a while and then the wife and I are off to dinner with the car.

today; My 71 RR in finally in primer. Next week wet sand primer and seal coat. Paint body.
then paint hood, header panel and bumpers semi gloss black.
then install windshield.
This may take awhile.

Almost had a heart attack. I put a new fanbelt on. I have one of those battery powered trouble lights with LED's. It's magnetic so I stuck it to the hood. (ya know where this is going dontcha?) Hood didn't close right so I checked and realized the trouble light was still there. No damage to the hood but a small dent in the radiator tank. Stupid old fart!!:iamwithstupid:

I didnt get to do a damn thing. Somehow 2 day expedited shipping doesnt include me apparently. My new plasma cutter is in a fedex hub about 50 miles away schedualed to be here monday by 4:30. I paid tues night and the guy sent it wed. evening. How long is 2 days again...

Went to a small local cruise with my wife. One of the nicest evenings all summer. It was so nice riding along with cool air and the windows down, listening to the pipes. Parked next to some friends and sat shooting the breeze all night. One friend has a 48 Plymouth coupe with a 392 Hemi. One of these days I'll remember a camera and take some pics.

Finished the installation of my new TTI exhaust system on my 64 Fury. Drove it for the first time in a couple of years! Love it! :love10:
