What did you do to your Mopar today?

Mocked up my new Dynomax muffs and TTI H pipes so I can fab some head pipes. That'll be fun. First time doing that! Also removed center link and bent idler arm. have new idler and tie rod ends to go on. Looks like I'm gonna need a pitman as well ($85 plus shipping- OUCH). I wish you could just replace the boot- that's the only problem. Rotted off, but joint is tight.

My wife and I went to the Mopars at the Red Barn show in Hickory Corners, MI. Picked up a starter for my '73 Satellite. Came home, drained the coolant, removed the intake manifold (have a leak at the front), removed the improperly sized heater and radiator hoses to replace the stupid worm drive hose clamps with proper ones. I installed the new starter, then went to Autozone and ordered a new manifold gasket set, which will be here tomorrow.

Tomorrow's plan is to replace the 3/4" heater hoses with the proper 1/2" and 5/8" hoses, install those new Corbin clamps, and start the intake reinstall. Hopefully, I'll have it buttoned back up tomorrow. Just a few steps left before trying to fire her up and take her for a run!

Got in a hurry.. so now i have a brake line to fix. I only had a little while to get to the shop so i was rushing. I had already checked under the car for obsticles and had a line directly under where i planned to cut the floor. well i forgot. Fired up the plasma and no more brake line. But i did get some floor cut out and the first patch made.

Purchased a boatload of 73 and 74 Charger parts and got a 73 Charger as a bonus. Needs some cowl work which kind of scares me, and some lower quarter and fender work, but came with 2 nearly perfect doors with p/w, two 90-95% doors with rollers, a rust free hood, a 90% deck lid, sway bars, a running 318 with eddy carb and intake and ceramic headers, an extra set of spindles, buckets and tracks a high back split bench, brand new in the box carpet and headliner, two new floor patch panels, an original polyglass spare, a factory service manual set (among other things), and the cherry on top, a cassette recorder pod for a non-console car.

Put a headliner in the 65' Doesn't look to bad. Thought is was going to be way harder than it was.

Replaced fuel lines, dual feeder for the carb, new clamps, evened out air in all the tires, went for a drive in the country

Gettin my 65 hemi belvedere ready to fire her up. Goin out with her next weekend.

I installed the intake manifold with new Felpro gaskets and RTV. Then, I installed proper sized heater hoses, all the while longing for hose clamp pliers.

Next steps are to reinstall the coil, the AC pump and bracketry, the alternator and wires, then reconnect the rad hoses, refill with coolant, blow out the fuel lines with air, add some gas and turn the key!

Drilled out broken bolt from exhaust flange with the $20 Craftsman drill press I bought at a flea market last weekend. Almost paid for it's self tonight. It came with a 3" vise and, oddly enough, the exact size drill bit I needed and didn't already have. Removed brake booster from 5th Ave to see if it will work on Charger. Also got brake light switch.

$20 Craftsman drill press, Doesn't get much better then that, great find!! Washed a well needed Satellite here, patiently waiting for a couple parts due last week lol..
