What did you do to your Mopar today?

Installed my rebuilt power booster, bled the brakes and went for a ride.
Since I had my instrument cluster out to get to the top bolts of the booster I ran parallel wires to the amp meter.

Got it safetied and on the road today, only needed a reverse light bulb. Not bad for a $6500 car…

I worked on putting my dashboard back together today and installed a new Windshield Washer reservoir and pump. I hope that the dashboard will be finished tomorrow after I pick up the replacement sockets and the bulbs for the dashboard. Several of the sockets were no good, so I am replacing them all and new bulbs for them as well.

Mock up day....

Moved all my gear and tools to the other side of the car and got busy modifying the driver side quarter panel scoops. I also hung the 70 Road Runner bumper on the rear of the car and it looks bada**!! I am going to have to add one inch to the middle of the bumper to get it hugged up tight to the body and allow it to come up a little higher so the body contour lines match up with the bumper lines. It will look good and I can run the dual exhaust out through the back up light holes. See the picture of my Coronet next to the twin turbo Texas car called ROADKILL, this is the look and stance I am going for.

Thanks! I have been massaging the corners of the tail ends of the quarters today to get the curve of the vertical edge to curve in a bit more at the bottom to match up with the upward curve of the bumper corners. I will sand down the bumper and build out with filler on the outside faces of the bumper to bring the contour lines of the bumper up to meet up with the quarter panel body line. It will look like it came from the factory that way. lol. I wanted this 70 bumper on here so I could run the exhaust pipes out through those back up light holes. I am going to run a 67 Charger tail light set up that goes all the way across. I'm going to cut them in two spots near the center and plastic weld two inch and a half wide white lenses in between the red and they will be the back up lights. Kind off a one off thing. The bumper will be painted the same black as the car.
I also am going to have to slice the trunk lid finish panel at the bottom of the upper curve and redo the latch to move it up higher to catch the lid. The lights buckets will go where the finish panel used to reside. It will be welded in stationary so the trunk will have its back edge at the point above the tail lights chrome trim.
I was worried about the 70 bumper being wide enough but it's all good. It could be about 1/2 inch wider but I'm not cutting it and adding 1/2 inch. I just recurved the tail pieces lower edge to meet the bumper.

pushed her off the street after she flooded out. ......heck what should I expect for a 47 yr old carb'. Lucky enough there was a convenience store right there. I get out and push her off into the parking lot.
there is a Mezikin tire shop next door. I borrow a screw driver... remove the top plate check the float put the top back on. take the NICE Mezikin for loaning me the screw driver... reach in...she spins a few times which is unusual ....hits I get out close the hood and pray she doesnt do it again for the next 5 miles. Come home get on line and order a rebuild kit and practice my rebuild skills on the 67 Mustang carb for practice. (its the original carb off the 67) Getting ready to remove Mrs. Beast carb and do it now.

Got my lowered '68 D100 started today for the first time in nearly two years! I did a timing chain/sprocket replacement, plus a new water pump, a couple of hoses, gaskets, fluids and filters. Poured a little fresh fuel in the carb, and it started right off! I was pretty happy! I need to drain the old fuel from the tank tomorrow and start fresh. Once it picked up the old fuel, it started running for crap - big surprise, right? No leaks or evil noises, so I'm pretty pumped about driving it tomorrow for the first time on a public road in nearly three years!

Thank you sir.... rebuilt the carb today and with except of a air mixture adjustment ....she feels like she's got better power. Off the line with slight/normal/ proper acceleration she runs GREAT!! If I stab it a bit hard she of course coughs.... I'll probably do that tonight or in the morning.

Another car show today. It was a charity show at the Ford/Romeo plant. I don't think a mopar won a single thing. We weren't listening to the award thing too much, but it seemed like all GM and you guessed it.........Fords won. LOL

Today is wash day, since I'm sitting at home on a 97* day. Just finished the two D100 pickups. Now, it's out to do the convertible and the Coronet.

Well I just started back on my Bird ! Got the rear squaired . Ride hight set (close) Mounted the clutch master cyinder and DREAMED OF HER DONE !!!
A Ton yet to do BUT it has 4 wheels on it after 8 years !!
Also got the fuel cell can mounted into the trunk pan a week or two ago.
