What did you do to your Mopar today?

Moved the WO-car up to the front of the shop. She needs some lovin', and has been left neglected[3 years]. The plan for the winter, is to install the freshened hemi, new trans/convertor, widen the rear Bogart wheels, and just give her a good detailing. I feel bad for having ignored this car for so long.

Installed drivers side mini tub in my 69' Dart GT! Took me 5 hours and still need to make 2 patch panels to finish it off.

pulled the axels and center section of the coronet

i have a truetrac ready and moser axles waiting to go in

learned i got a 2.91 in the 741 instead of 2.76

Be careful.

Lots of ring gears have a "2.91" stamp, and it's NOT the ratio.

The ratio stamp is after the "2.91" stamp.

There are pics here that show it clearly.

I guess people stop looking when they find something that looks like it could be the ratio.

The very common 66/67 B body 8 3/4 gear is 2.94:1.

First 'snow' here today. Roads are salted, no more driving.

Have the engine ready to come out. 0.0 PSI on #3 when I did my compression test.

Light day.

Put back the intake bolts I removed to lift the engine.

Installed temp sender and vac control valve.

Started to clean the brain goo off the wiring harness. WOW.

Brakleen is even having a tough time. By the time the goo comes off, the tape glue is oozing out and the tape is gooey it's self.

Flared and bent brake line 90* for truck.

looked at ring gear markings

so i got a 2.93 gear. gonna mate it to the truetrac this week

There's that again.

I think that's a part number.

Keep rotating.

IIRC the actual ratio is a slightly larger font and not at the end of a long number string with a preceding hyphen.

In my experiences[and memory] over the last 4-5 decades.... Modern 8 3/4 rears, had 2.76, 2.94. 3.23, 3.55, 3.91, and 4.10 factory gears. Dana 60's had 3.54 and 4.10's. Lots of aftermarket ratios were available. I'd like to have a set of 3.33's out of Ford, for a Dana 60.

I walked by it getting the snowblower and shovel out. Still waiting on my brother to put the rear end back together. He's busy trying to work at the engine shop and get his own business going. Hopefully after the first of the year we'll be able to get after it again.

IIRC there's also a 3.19 gear from the late 1950's.

I hadn't started school, yet. LOL....and I'm an old-fart.

Lifted the car about 20"...and removed the bent-up rear Bogart rims. NOBODY I've talked with[including Bogart] has seen this before. I took some under-side shots. She's a mess.
